Back from Vacation Uh Oh
Well things have changed I use to be able to go on vacation without a worry live it up for two weeks with no gain but not anymore not sure if it because in 4 days I turn 50 menopause metabolism slowing down or just time passed with the sleeve and Im eating more bad habits etc. Just know that on this past trip I gained 6 pounds which is strictly against all my own rules but happy to say now that I am back I am down three and just need to get the last three off I will do this as I am happy and comfortable at this weight and plan to keep it here guess this will be my life from now on but Im okay with that as long as I can live it up once in awhile then get back to basics and take it right back off. The key is getting it off quick not letting it stay there so it doesn't settle in and become comfortable.
Thanks for the great support you all give me each and every day.

I think you are right, the first three pounds were probably just sodium and they usually disappear quite quickly. The other three will fall off soon too. I also find that losing is not a huge struggle and that I can get the weight off rather quickly when I go back to more regulated eating. I would bet that one to two weeks from now you will be back to your normal weight and routine. I agree with you that the big issues come up when we play ostrich and not "notice" a few pounds for a while. I never intend to play that head game again. I hope you had a great vacation and welcome back.
I freaked out last week because I went for a routine exam and the scale said I was 4 lbs heavier than I should have been!
I spent the next two days with protein only and got on my scale...I was a pound less than where I started....
apparently the doctors scale was off (sigh)
But I agree, not letting those few pounds settle in is the key.

I've been on vacation for two weeks. Las Vegas, Virginia, DC and now Manhattan since last Saturday. The good thing about NY is walking hours everyday. My son and his girlfriend have healthy food at home and they are helping me stay away from walking out in front of food trucks.
I will have a report over the weekend when I get home about how I fared (no pun intended). If I did scale damage I know it was in Vegas where there was an abundance of snack food around.
Its good to hear that three of those pounds came off so easily.

I just got back from an intense two weeks of fun. I started in Las Vegas for a Dr. Sauceda reunion, then home for 7 hours and on to my next flight to Charlottesville VA to visit a friend. Then one night in DC after a day at the Smithsonian. Then a bus ride to Manhattan where I stayed with my son and his girlfriend for six nights. I sampled lots of foods and ate more sugar and flour than I would at home. The good thing is that Manhattan is a walking city and we walked all day. Yesterday I had a 4pm flight so made sure to get in a 5 mile walk in the morning before going to the airport.
I am up two pounds from when I left, but still under my 145 worst case scenario red flag. I'm hopeful that these are two pounds of sodium weight that will come off easily. It's basics this weekend!
