canadian bacon, crisped up under broiler, then add olive oil, fresh mozzarella, tomato, and crisp up again. before serving, add a leaf of fresh basil. we also love ground chicken or turkey patties fried in coconut oil, then a dollop of Tzaziki on top. I am also always serving the left-over vegie from the night before. (Just make extra at night to tide you over.) Fresh avocado slices go well with anything. Once a week we do have a slice of bacon, my one true weakness. I put melted cheese on everything too--adds extra protein. Lots of people do different forms of greek yogurt (with berries, etc). I often just have one of my pepper-jack cheese sticks for breakfast. Good luck and nice to see you back on program!
I personally love eggs of all kinds. My go-to breakfast on the weekends is one whole egg and two egg whites scrambled with a little cheese sprinkled on top. I also eat hard boiled eggs. There is also an egg muffin... scrambled up some eggs, pour into a muffin tin, add bits of bacon/cheese/sausage/peppers/onions/etc to your liking, then bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until done. Oh - spray the muffin pan beforehand. Yummo!! These can also be baked and then refrigerated until you want to eat them another day.
During the week, I don't have time to make eggs for breakfast, so I either have a protein shake, greek yogurt, turkey sausage or cheese. If I did a good workout, then I may a protein bar (or 1/2 protein bar). I typically make sure my protein bars have more grams of protein than grams of carbs to keep things in check for myself.
Sometimes, I will even eat leftover chicken or beef or pork from dinner the night before. Breakfast doesn't have to be breakfast food!

My usual breakfast is a half-cup of cottage cheese, a couple large spoonfuls of greek yogurt, a half-cup of blueberries, and a little SF Da Vinci hazelnut syrup for flavoring. I make these up six at a time so I can take them to work easily. On weekends I'll mix it up a little, with eggs and bacon, or today I had a slab of queso fresco cheese fried in butter with some Joseph's SF syrup. Tastes just like french toast. As you can see, I don't worry too much about fat in my diet.
my breakfast is almost always greek yogurt. i have fat free Fage and can eat about a cup of it. because it is so tart i put a teaspoon of honey on it. my doctor would probably hate that but i did it through weight loss phase. you could use some splenda, a few berries, sugar free syrups or jellies to make it not so tart. a cup has 23g protein so its a pretty good start.
you can also make the egg bites from the eggface website so they taste like other stuff. diane

I always have a Syntrax Nectar for First Breakfast and tend to have an Egg & Cheese slice ommette for Second Breakfast.
basically, any protein you like and can tolerate. I don't like solid food the first few hours I am awake.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.
PM me if you are interested in either of these.
