Hello All, I've just weighed myself for the first time in many months and have gained 6 pounds 4 years post-operative.  How to get it off?  Thanks for any help and/or suggestions

I am only out just over a year, and still learning about maintenance, but my suggestion would be to get back to the basics like you did when you were in your "losing" phase, making sure you get all your protein and water in, and limiting your carbs and calories.   Also, exercise daily!
Good luck - you can get those 6-8 pounds off in no time I'll bet!

Leanne, look at the post made after yours - good info!

I'm a little over three years out and gained 12.5 pounds.  It's taken me 6 weeks to lose 7.5 pounds.  I went back to the nutritionist, let her remind of all the things I was doing wrong and come up with a plan of action for me.   It's really going back to basics and omiting the carbs I had become re-addicted to.  Also, tracking everything I eat again and being accountable.  I'm leaving in about 5 minutes for my follow-up with her.  I hope I get a gold star even though I haven't exercised at all!  Good luck to you...

Thank you so much.  This is very helpful.  I do exercise alot, but I've gotten into crackers and peanut butter and not so much protein.  You are an inspiration.
