I know its easier said than done but dont weigh yourself after any surgery. I had Hernia repair along with TT in Feb and came home 20 pounds heavier !!! I almost freaked out when i got home but i had edema with lots of swelling that lasted for a week for me to take off with water pills my doc had to give me. Im glad your doing ok after surgery. Ive had my gall bladder removed 4 years ago and i know the pain from it. Keep your head up!

I just had a rotator cuff repair done a couple of weeks ago, and got the same 5-ish pound gain from that. I figured tha****er was the culprit (as it was over the VSG) and indeed the body comp scale confirmed that I was well hydrated, even first thing in the morning when hydration is usually at its' lowest (but sure makes the BF% look good!) It dissipated within 2-3 days.
