I'm having one of those days where the idea of whipping up a batch of colorful buttercream icing and eating it with a spoon seems like a good idea.   Who needs the cupcakes if you're hard-core, right? Cupcakes have actual nutritional value and fill you up before you can get the REAL sugar high.

I appreciate that I needed to eat more calories, and that getting  my period back was a *good* thing.  For  the love of Pete, did it have to come with the damn hormones?   I'm reminded of the old SNL skit where they had the PMS hotline men could call.  I may actual peel my husband's face off if he uses the word "whatever" again when I ask him a question.

Never fear, instead of icing or causing my beloved disfiguring injury, I'm heading to the gym to run off my agression while listening to "Pride & Prejudice & Zombies."

Todays eating:  1400 calories, 140g protein, 40g Carb.  Sleeve working, brain not so much....

Tomorrow will be better, hang in there, we all get it and we feel for you and your husband.  :)   Great job on exercising rather than filling up on sugar.  PMS is my weakest time.  Sometimes, I just have to forgive myself in the morning and look the other way.  So awesome that you can control it.

Carolyn!!!!  I hear ya!  I am on my period too.  I've been guzzling flavored coffee and it is working to stave off the desire for massive amounts of sugar.  At this moment I am drinking a Vaniila bicotti K-cup with So delicious coconut creamer and splender.  Cost?  10 calories and 1 gram of carbs! Cravings killed, but, not so good at 8:30 at night.....sure wi**** came in decaf!!!!

Amen, it's been over 10 years for me and I don't miss it at all.  That said, now what can I blame when I crave carbs. :)

At 51, I've been in "surgical menopause" since the age of 32.  Thank God too because I raised 5 teenagers after that time.

I say that I don't have PMS anymore, I'm just a b**ch all the time and damn proud of it!

Hang in there.

one of the few good things about aging is being done with that crap. meanwhile, a little workout will do you good. you have the right idea. it all will pass including the frosting craving.  feel better soon. diane
