That's it, I have finally done it, and I am ready to retire my credit cards.  Alan will be thrilled.  I just returned home form buying the most gorgeous dress I have ever laid eyes on.  I can officially stop shopping as I am never ever going to top this.  It is a BCBG persimmon colored jersey twist-sleeve ****tail dress.  It hits mid thigh and has a very low cowl back with a tie.  The jersey material clings in all the right places and with a pair of gold sandals and earrings and an up-do, I am ready to take on any semi formal occasion.  I feel like a vindicated warrior coming home from battle with my bounty.  And did I mention it was on SALE.  Pictures will follow as soon as I can figure out a place to wear this art piece to.  Maybe if Dr. Cirangle ever gets that gala together.....

That is a awesome NSV! I bet that dress is gorgeous!
Is it a size 0? Isn't it wonderful being able to buy little cute clothes?

Thank you.  It is a size XS and BCBG is known for running very small, that's why I like them; their clothes actually fit without having to be tailored for me.  Isn't that a crazy thought?  Three years ego, no dress was both bid enough and petite enough; all petites were too small and all woman sized dresses were way too long.  Nothing would fit me, now I have to look for size 0P or XS, who would have believed it.

Where is that "Like" button?

That dress sounds gorgeous! I need to find an outfit for my 40th high school reunion in August. Maybe I need to go shopping with you! LOL

Pictures please!!!   Plus, we need the following information:

Store you purchased it from
How much you paid for it
How much you WOULD have paid for it had it not been on sale (this is what is most important)
What size it is (should you care to share that)

I love clothes and shoes!  I especially love a good bargain, or a story about one!

Honestly, sometimes I feel that the health benefits of the VSG are secondary to buying great clothes and looking good in them!

I will add pictures as soon as possible, but for now here are a few facts,

I got it a Macy's
I paid $87, it was originally $374 NOT BAD
It is a XS in BCBG which corresponds to just about invisible in any other brand.  I think they make their dresses for two dimensional people.  :)  But this dress fits nicely, a little snug, but that is part of the charm.

I now need some high heeled gold sandals and loop earrings to complete the ensemble.  The color is gorgeous and will look even better on me when I get a little sun this summer.

WWWWWOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!

Anyone can go buy something and pay full price!  The REAL excitement is in getting something fabulous for next to nothing!

Back in the day, I spent hundreds of dollars at Macy's but got thousands of dollars of clothings.  I loved how they would put the amount you saved at the bottom of the receipt.  The excitement at how much we saved was almost better than the clothes themselves!

My daughter was friendly with a woman who worked there.  Apparently she had the authority to take a certain percentage off at her discretion.  Since they have to maintain some kind of quota, she would reward us when we would check out at her register.

The best we ever did was purchase what would have totalled $777 (kinda hard to forget that number).  The total of what we actually paid was $182!!!!!

I'm broke now, but thanks to my excessive spending in those days, I still have a lovely wardrobe that I look forward to getting back into.

I really love EBay now.  I  have found that sometimes you can buy some things at a small fraction of the cost when there is some minor issue, such as a split seam, or broken zipper.  Most people don't want to bother with that.  I am a pretty good seamstress and have gotten some very nice things that I had no problem repairing.

My favorite bargain that I got was a black velvet bustier by Akris.  It came with the tag still on it and was over $600.  I paid about $25!!!   Why?  Because it has a seam come apart!   It was so easy to fix!  I look forward to wearing that bustier again one of these days.

Congrats on  your fabulous find!!!!
