218 pounds. This is the night before surgery.  Size 20 bathing suit.

Taken in 2008....whew, I'm a big girl, and I dressed terrible.  What's that hairstyle????  Size 24 pants, and 4x shirt.  I'm not sure how much I weighed.  I refused to weigh myself back then.  Even though I was a lightweight scale wise, I carried my weight in the most unhealthy way, which is in the upper body.  The surgeon told me that this made me as unhealthy as a person 100 pounds heavier, who's weight was more evenly distributed.  I remember the first time I saw this picture.  I couldn't believe how big I was.  It was an eye opener!!!!

Taken today after church.  I look better, but I still think I need to lose 10-20 pounds.  I'm wearing size 10 pants, and a medium shirt.  I can sure tell I had breast reduction surgery 3 1/2 months ago!!  I'm nice and small up there.  Can you see the muscle in my arms?My husband took this picture today because he wanted me to see how far I've come.  I've been so hard on myself, and always feeling and saying how big I still am. So, he wanted to show me that I am a success story even if I never lose another pound (which I will).  I see he was smart to do this, because I am feeling a lot better about myself now that I've seen these pictures.

My tummy is flat.  Picture taken 3 minutes ago.

Thank you.  It was therapeutic to post the pictures.  I've been hiding and feeling shame for a long time.  Posting the pictures, and seeing them has made me realize I have nothing to be ashamed of.  My husband was smart for making me pose for pictures.  He knew it would help me realize that I have been successful.

Aaaawwwww.. Thank you Elina, it means so much to me.  I'm losing inches, and actually had a 2 pound scale drop which I won't claim until it sticks for at least a week.  So far, it's stuck for 4-5 days.  Which is amazing considering the high dose of prednisone I was on!!!  I think it's going to stick...crossing fingers....

Thank you Lee!!!!  It's working, my sleeve still works!!!!!  I'm making more progress, but it is slow.

Can you believe that computer geek night picture???  It was my wake-up call!!!  I'll never forget the first time I saw it.  My friend posted it on Face Book.  I wanted to bury my head in the sand.

Trish, What a wonderful transformation!! You look absolutely lovely, healthy, and happy. You have every reason in the world to feel proud of yourself. When you are feeling down, just pull up these pictures and smile. Way to rock your sleeve!!
