CIRANGLE San Jose group patients!!!

Ok, need a little help from you Cirangle peeps -

It's my intention to make the next San Jose meetup!

I have my pre-op appointment for my plastic surgery the morning of the 18th, and I think I'll be in SSF the afternoon of the 17th to visit some colleagues, so I'll just stay the night somewhere in the area and actually get to the meet all you fabulous people at the SJ group on the evening of the 17th!!!

Here's the question -

Google maps tells me it's 45 minutes from SSF (103 DNA Way) to the SJ group at Good Sam.

1)  If I leave SSF at 5:30, will I actually get to Good Sam by 6:30 with traffic?

2)  Also, where are these teleconference trailers?  I had my surgery at that hospital but don't remember seeing any trailers.

Hey Ruggie- Good luck with your ps. Can't help you with directions-I'm on the east coast. btw I showed my wls Dr your sarcastic post that I loved.He couldn't believe some of the stuff. I told him that's why patients need more info and help to be successful. He said he wanted to share it, so I gave him a copy. (He's great and did tell me a lot prior to surgery- but I learned so much from this site and you vets.) Anyway, he's at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC & he is professor at the medical school so he trains other Drs, so your post will be able to help educate some Drs too! Thanks Rosie

I will be there too and I come from the North as well..and traffic can be awful...it is all about the timing when you leave.  I think at that time you were talking of leaving , you will be in prime traffic!  I try to leave about 4;15 from my area...a group of us meet up for an easy dinner before at Armadillo Willy's.  Let us know if you can do that...anyone is welcome to join!
  There are trailers...they are on the side of the hospital.  I am so bad with directions that I don't really know how to tell you whey are, I just know where they are.  You have to take the next driveway.  I would call the hospital and ask them..or maybe someone here will be able to help you more than I can..sorry!  I get lost all the time!
The first 1/2 of the meeting is for the pre-ops so If you are late...there is still lots of meeting left.

 Oh... is this Armadillo Willy's in SJ?  What time do you guys meet up for dinner?

Sounds like people chimmed in and you got the directions.  It really is fun to meet before for dinner and more chatting!  I was totally planning on going but my son's baseball team just made the playoffs and guess what time his game is?  Yep...4pm on Wed and we live on the Penninsula..so after the game I just couldn't get there in time.  I really enjoy going to the meetings...a great group of people.  So enjoy!

if you go to the far south (i think its south but maybe east ) entrance which is probably the one you went in for your surgery as its the one nearest to that. if you are outside facing that entrance then about 100 yards to your right are some prefab small buildings with concrete ramps to them. those are the trailers. really more like permanant prefab units.   you will pretty much pass the entire hospital and turn in at the last driveway. actually they might call it the east entrance. but its not the main one.  diane

yep, lots of parking. these buildings are right beside the hospital. not at the far end of parking lot. you will find it. of course, i have been to that hospital exactly twice. diane

First, I am so very excited to finally meet you in real life!!!!  Please give yourself more time as the traffic is brutal and you will want to meet us for dinner at Armadillo Willy's on 2071 Camden Ave. San Jose, very close to the hospital before the meeting.  The trailers can be seen from the second driveway by the hospital. Pass the main entrance and take the next one, in the back.  Go all the way to the end, and you will see the trailers with a long on ramp in front.  PM me and I will be happy to give you my cell phone number, just in case.  Did I mention I happy I am that you are coming?  Woohoo.
