I did it. Yep, me!

It may not seem like much to some people, but to ME, it's a tremendous accomplishment.  I walked the 5K on Saturday in 62 minutes!  I am just amazed.   So proud of myself and a co-sleever walked with me.  She had never walked that far before, so we were both very proud of ourselves.

Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Good job Wanda! You SHOULD be proud of your self. Didn't you say you have bad knees? How did they hold up?

Yep, bad knees.  Bone on bone at the knee cap, but he said the cartilage around the rest of the knee looks pretty good, which is why I'm not having pain - well that and that whole 165 pound weight loss helped too. LOL

I walk every day and have been working toward the 5K .  Just to do it with a team and accompli**** was very inspiring.

Good luck!  They weren't giving awards to walkers - only runners.  But it was still worth the "award" of doing it.

I just wanted to NOT come in dead last and beat that by a long shot.  I was surprised at how many people (young ones too) that this old woman passed

Makes an old broad feel good. .
