Working on that weight loss...
...for my upcoming spinal surgery. Threw out all the junk food and sweets. Eased off the peanut butter crackers, even though I still have a limited amount. Stopped going through drive-throughs. Started eating more veggies. Made sure that protein came first, which has always been my priority, but I'd gotten a little sloppy. Drank more water, which is hard to imagine, because I drink like a fish anyway (thank you, dry mouth!). Started exercising as much as my limited physical condition can manage. AND...
GAINED TWO POUNDS!!!
DANG!!!

LOL... that's the way things go, right?? It'll come back off. I have a hard time getting in all my fluids every day. Seems like I don't have time to drink enough. That's just an excuse in my brain. I have three water bottles that I fill up and tote around and I still don't drink enough!! Good luck!!
Ba ha ha
Well, since I generally have to pee two or three times in the night anyway, I would hardly be able to tell the difference, heh heh.
But I don't think it is water retention. I suck on water ALL day long and just about pee myself to death all day. I think it is actually that I have started to EAT again after a couple of months of hardly being able to get anything down at all because I was so sick. I was just eating a couple of bites at a time about six times a day. That is not adequate nutrition to prepare my body for surgery! So I'm forcing myself to eat meat, veg, dairy, and complex carbs. And actually, when I think about it, I'd rather be adequately nourished and 15 pounds over the weight I'd like to be than emaciated and malnourished. The surgeon doesn't know my weight history, and all she sees is a little ol' gal carrying 20 pounds of blubber on her hips, snort.
So I'm just going to do the best I can and hope and pray for a successful outcome :-)
And I gained another pound yesterday
