The craziness continues
Don't worry about it being slow here sometimes, Diane. I am just so happy that this forum exists at all. I, too, remember when it there might be 2 pages of posts per day, but now it can run 5 or more for just a single day. I miss seeing some of the "oldies", like MandyPlus2, FattyPatty, SassyItalian, CharInMd, BikerChickk, Jagator88, to name a few. Haven't seen anything of them at all in a long while.
I am hoping that after my surgery, I can occasionally post here with a question or maybe to individuals under a PM. I know I will have some questions, but wouldn't really trust most advice I think I would receive from the main board.
Anita

Well, I did it, I had to go over there and post on that Mcdonalds Bull**** post. I asked the O.P. 2 very important questions that I highly doubt will be answered:

1. Did half the sandwhich stuff you to the point of feeling really full? Did you eat it until you absolutely could not take another bite?
2. What did you do with the other half of the sandwhich? Did you throw it out? Or did you put it in the fridge and eat it later?
So I'm probably being naive, but I like to try to respond to those posts to give some guidance - I feel like people responded to some crazy questions I asked when I was first starting out, and I feel that maybe I may not have been as successful if I didn't get that pushback and guidance - I guess that inspires me to at least try to do the same....
Ruggie's back! I was waiting for you to jump on those McD threads on the main board. Crazy stuff going on there.
Anyhow, glad you checked in. Sorry about the anemia. But good luck on the 5k. Kick some ass!

It has really riled up the natives. I swear the inmates are running the asylum. Three threads for your reading pleasure...

If you have the sanity (or insanity depending on how you look at it) to go back and read her other posts, she's also had Taco Bell (which made her throw up) and Pizza Hut. And she's only 2 months out. Anyhow...
I totally hear you about traveling for work. Was doing the same on Thu/Fri and most of my June is on the road. Sorta dreading it... I love travel, but just in moderation. Ya know?

Cheese and RICE what a bloody mess that has turned into!
That woman, regardless of her eating habits, is a bit of an attention seeker. It's funny to note in her first thread she was proud of only eating 1/4 of a McDonald's sandwich, and a few days later she's now proud that she's eating only 1/2 of a McDonald's sandwich. Give her another month, maybe she'll get the whole carby sandwich down. Wow, my sleeve wouldn't be happy with half a bagel plus the meat and cheese ... ugh
Bloody mess. I see Frisco doing his best, firing artillery shells among an storming army. Not sure how to respond. Of all the forum stuff, this is what I hate most - that disagreement equals anti-support. That not condoning a behavior is mean. That to allow for moderation is to allow for emotional-based eating.
Given that she continues to start posts with "Did I get your attention?" and "I wanted to see how many hits I could get" clearly she is just feeding off the attention and mayhem. I wrote her thoughtfully once, she didn't reply, I'm not wasting my time engaging her again. I'm going to be an elist ass and predict she won't hit goal - which seems to be anything in a 50-pound spread for her. She's not even a 1/4 year out yet.
I thought I read all the posts, but somehow missed the parts about Taco Bell and Pizza Hut.
Honestly, I feel bad - she's feeling good now - but she likely won't in the future. She'll probably feel cheated.

I rarely went to the VSg forum during my losing stage. I hung in the Light Weight forum because there was no BS. After that I came here and also to the plastics forum. Mi still check in with my light weights.
Now I sometimes go to the VSG forum to read and post. It's part of the pay it forward routine. I just try to not get invested in the responses. They can't get to me if I'm not emotionally invested in what they choose to do. With all the wacky folks who coddle and say its ok to eat McDonalds and burritos at two weeks out, there needs to be another voice.
Its crazy to go from compulsive eating to cold turkey behavior. I had to shed weigh pre op and go to some classes. Some people say, hey I want it! And two weeks later they're on a table. I feel sad for them.
