Long ago, I realized that for me, there is no point in getting involved in the nonsense. The people who are going to go down that path will not be talked out of it and the sensible ones already realize that it's nuts. I still go over to the main VSG forum and skim posts, and I will answer (very occasionally) if someone asks a serious questions and I think I can help.

I don't go to the main forum at all. I guess I miss the bs.
I know I just skip the stupid stuff anyway.

If I see a post and think I can support or help, I do.
Otherwise I just ignore.

I love TJ!
Always have fun there with the Hubs.
We keep it safe.
Next time we are taking day trip to wine trail in Ensenada.
Teeth are great.

Ate great first 3 days then got off track.
Worked out every other day really well so I'm hoping the weight isnt too bad when I get home.
Still want to take off 7 more but hubby says no, so I dont tell him, LOL

What about the 10K?

10k training is going well.  Ran a total of 11.5 miles in the past week.  That includes 3.5 miles today and I could have gone longer.  I'm really hitting a groove, I think.  I'll cross train tomorrow (either cardio dvd or yoga, not sure yet).  Then I'll run a few times this week with a goal to run 4 or 4.5 miles next Saturday (those are my long run days).

Yep, my hubs is getting on me about being boney.  So no more weight loss.  But I'm still losing inches (shh, don't tell him).  If I start weight training, then I might gain a few pounds of muscle, but hopefully won't change clothing size.  I went shopping today and bought two size Small dresses (holy **** still can't believe this).  Also tried on a size 6 skirt and it was a little big (hard to believe, but true, probably vanity sizing LOL).

Glad TJ and your teeth are good!!  LOL

On the main forum I've ready so many stories from people who are obviously going to gain it all back with their bad choices.  I've been frightened of gaining, but after reading some of those ridiculous post, I realize that I'm doing just fine.  I have setbacks, but the next day get back on and continue the healthy journey to my goal weight.

Where are their doctors and nuts?  I was given a very strict path to follow while losing - 3 meals a day, NO snacking and a minimum of 64 oz of water.  It works!  (if you work it).

By all means, hang out here if the vsg forum is driving you nuts. I worry sometimes that there is not enough posting on this group to keep it interesting and feel like I need to post some controversial things to light some fires. But there are plenty of real issues out there that can be discussed here so lets all toss them out for disucssion.

As for the main vsg forum, I remember the good old days when there were maybe a dozen posts a day and you could get information from the few vets out there. Lizzy was one. But even then there was weird stuff like a post that said "how many of you out there can eat two full slices of pizza?" - like it was a contest or something.

I still cruise the main vsg and answer legitimate questions but some of it wears me out. But I love this group and hope it stays active and vital for a long time.   Diane
