Isn't is wonderful that we can order the "small" meal brisket and then share it and have some left over?  I would love to split it again with you.

I had a "surprise" hiatal hernia that Cirangle fixed when he sleeved me.  I wouldn't have even known if he hadn't told me!

I've had that esophageal spasming .... SO unpleasant.... the pain has been crippling.  I wrote about it right at the New Year.

Really glad to hear that you're feeling better - that's awesome!

Thanks, Ruggie!! I'm glad your hiatal hernia was fixed at the time of surgery--it's so much easier to fix before the stomach is removed. I know he is being even more aggressive about them now than he and Dr. Jossart were when I was sleeved.

I'm sort of hijacking -- esophogeal spasms?  I wonder if that is what that awful pain is that I've been having.  Shoot, I was beginning to wonder if I was on track for a heart attack!  I'll search.  Thanks, y'all :-)

Dorothy, I'm sorry you're having pain! For me, the spasming is not painful so much as I can't swallow. What kind of pain have you been having? What does the doctor say? Do you have your gall bladder?

It usually hits when I've eaten something dense, Lizanne.  Right in the middle of my chest, it feels like an interior muscle spasm.  It will usually pass in a few minutes.  And with all the spinal problems I have right now, I have not seen the doctor about this ... also because it has just started up.  Honestly, I just have more on my medical plate than I can deal with right now.  Whatever it is is just going to have to keep!  But no, my gall bladder is long gone, so it isn't that.

*sigh*  It is always something, isn't it?  :-)  Thanks for your response!

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all of this...but it does sounds a lot like what I've experienced, only for me, it doesn't stop after a few minutes and then the entrance to my stomach just closes. I think it can be experienced in a number of different ways, per Dr. C.

Hey Lizanne......

That was a great surprise to see/meet you at the last SJ Group....(not really a surprise surprise cause Jimbo texted me you were there!)

Glad your tune-up went well....that is some high level stuff that requires a great understanding of how the system works......

Your eating now sounds just like mine.... no big.... just add a meal or snacks if needed.... I really think in the long run it's much better.

See you at next group..... now that your an SJ regular !!!!!
