My next rant - protein shakes?

 That's why you won't see any posts from me about it if you go though my recent posts, I just don't even respond anymore (unless it's someone I have been posting back and forth with for a while and I KNOW what they need, kwim?).

Where's the damn like button when you need it? Well said escape.

To some degree, I'd say that 99.9% of people on all these forums are recovering addicts.  We are all food addicts and our "fix" is being taken away.  Yes, we are doing it voluntarily, even joyfully.  However, when the reality begins to smack us in the face and the "shakes" (pun intended) start, we get a little crazy.  And you can't reason with a crazy person. 

I try to be sensitive to whether that person is just wanting to vent or if they need some help.  I will respond to those that I think are seeking help and ignore the others.  I might be judging incorrectly but in my heart, I really do want to help.  It's kinda like the starfish analogy......you can't save them all....etc.

I've got enough "crazy" of my own to deal with.  What goes on in my head is scary man, scary.  I don't need to be sucked into other people's crazy.  I skim most of the I-am-asking-this-question-on-here-as-the-millionth-person-to-do-so-because-I'm-too-lazy-to-go-back-and-read-a-few-days-posts and the most frequently asked posts (extra skin, hair falling out, when will I poop, when will I stop pooping, etc).  If a post touches me or if I have something to ad, I'll post. 

Oh, sorry.....I'm not a vet.  Still 30 lbs or so to go but I am a year out.  I just like to lurk here and tag onto Ruggie's rants.  If he wasn't gay and on the other side of the country, we'd be a seriously great couple!
