Food Plan 18 months out

Long time lurker here. I am probably someone who would be considered a minor success story. After VSG I lost 95 lbs. and am still at -90 about 18 months out.  I have pretty much eaten whatever I wanted but my restriction has kept quantities pretty small.  This has regularly included an afternoon king sized candy bar and evening greek yogurt w/nuts. However, I never reached my goal and would love to achieve a loss of like an additional 20 pounds.

So I need a food plan for taking off the 20.  I know that a food plan that works is an individual thing but I am not sure where to go as a VSG'er. Since my basic three meals a day are small due to restriction I am off to a good start but my hunger is starting up about every two hours. Since I kind of missed the chance to hit a homerun in the "honeymooon" phase I want to step up now and do what neds to be done.  OK, gang.  Thoughts, suggestions, ideas? What worked for others? Thanks in advance for the help.

Very dense protein is what I believe to be the biggest key.  It is the only thing that will stick with me for more than 2 hours and doesn't leave me taking a walk of shame to the vending machine.  I eat a 3-4 oz hamburger patty for breakfast and it will hold me over until lunch EASY.  For lunch, I eat about 3 oz of dense meat with about an ounce of cheese.  This will generally get me til around 3, and that's where a bad decision will happen if I haven't planned for it.  I try to bring a little more cheese and a few whole grain crackers for this time to hold me off until dinner.

"This has regularly included an afternoon king sized candy bar ."

Have you thought about ditching the KING sized candy bar? How many calories and carbs is that over a course of a month? The answer may be part of your path to losing the last 20 lbs. 3500 cal = one pound, so you need to create a deficit with decreased calories and exercise.

How many nuts are you having with your Greek yogurt? Are you using Non-Fat, sugar-free brands, like Fage 0%, Chobani NF, Oikos, etc?

Otherwise, small meals of dense protein, veggies should be part of your plan.

To get off my last 25 during year two I had to exercise 1 hour a day, keep calories to 800-1000, carbs around 30 but I did best at 20 carbs.

Its a trade off,  party in your mouth or personal satisfaction in a job well done.

Thanks Lee, I feel like I'm 100% healed up now from my BR  surgery and am working to kick those last pounds to the curb.  You did it, which makes me think I can too.  I have hope.

Hi, we were sleeved at around the same time, and I want to take an additional 20 pounds off too.  I learned about a month ago that I needed to lower my calories to start losing again.  I was eating between 900-1000 calories a day, but was just maintaining.  I dropped my intake to 750 a day and have already lost 5 pounds.  This far out, it is painful to go this low in calories, but if you want it bad enogh you will do it.  Candy is something that is worth ditching.  I know for me, I cannot eat it or even have it in the house because it's like crack, I could never stop at one dose and do not want to ever ride that crazy train again. Ditto for nuts.  I'll bet you could start losing again if you ditched the candy.  A king sized candy bar has around 500 calories in it.

Are you male or female?  How tall are you?  Hope you don't mind me asking...
