What are some of your "go to" foods that combat evening hunger?

Thank you Paula, it was like a miracle.  I'm hoping if I stick to this formula, I'll keep losing.

So what do you do in the evening when you are hungry?

Trish, don't know how you feel about a bit of sodium, but what about pickles??

Great idea Laura.  I love pickled palm hearts.  They sell big jars at Costco.  I forgot about those, and they actually have protein in them and practically no calories.

If you like pickled stuff, you may want to try pickled okra, it's super yummy and LOW in cals!  I will sometimes have fruit at night.  Has carbs but at least its good carbs.  I also battle the 2 hour hungrys.  I've made it a personal rule not to eat within three hours of my last mini meal.  What I've tried to do is start my first food a little later in the morning.  I have my coffee in the morning and then don't eat my breakfast until 9:00 or 10:00ish.  That pushes all my mini meals later and then I don't go to bed hungry.  Good luck on those last 20 and Kudos to you on 750 cals a day!  I know that's tough!

Thanks Deb.

I'm trying to eat later in the morning too.  So far it's helping.  My coffee is all I need for awhile as well.

protein hot coco or hot skim milk was what i always did in the losing phase. now its some raw veggies or still maybe the coco or milk but sometimes a sugar free fudgesicle or frozen yogurt bar or gy mixed with a sugar free pudding so it tastes like cheesecake.

I make my coco from the costco powderd and stir it into hot (but not super hot) liquid along with a little unsweetened coco powder for better taste. mix with a whisk or blender. if you don't get the liquid too hot it won't curdle and its way cheaper than the other single serving protein cocos. adding cinnamon is good too.

or make Elina" green chicken soup and have a cup of that.    Diane

I like your cocoa recipe.  I will try that.

I made Elina's soup.  I love it!!!!  I just had a bowl about an hour ago and am now in bed feeling fine.

I REALLY like your faux cheesecake idea!!!!!

Thanks Diane.

I do herb teas.  My favorites are apple cinnamon and peach.  (That's two different varieties, lol!)  I take it with about a tablespoon of cream and a touch of Truvia.  Basically it ends up tasting like flavored cream and is VERY satisfying and filling.  I do count the calories in the cream, but I don't worry too much about it.  These days I maintain with calories in the 1200-1500 range.

My absolute favorite go to evening snack is steamed artichokes with dip.  I steam them in batches ahead of time and keep them in the refrigerator.  I warm one up in the microwave and eat it with a dip I make from Greek yogurt, lite sour cream, garlic, lemon and dill.  I make the dip in larger quantities use it whenever I need it.  This works really well for me because one artichoke with my dip is about 60-70 calories, over 10 grams of fiber and it takes a very long time to eat.  I love that combination.

Other times, I just have a bit of soup or a 1/3 cup of lite ricotta cheese with splenda or if I have the inclination and the time, PB2 pancakes.    I sometimes make more of the pancakes and heat them up as needed.  Another thing I do is make protein crapes ****ep them in the freezer) and stuff them with ricotta cheese and home baked apples ( I also make more of this and keep it in the refrigerator).  The apples have more carbs than I would have eaten during the losing phase, but i am not against having it now.
