I usually ignore my growling tummy in the evening because I do not want to blow my calorie limits for the day and am usually out of calories by evening. I eat 750 calories per day. Well tonight, I had 50 potential calories and have already met my protein goals, and as usual, I was hungry, so I opened a can of diced tomato's and blended them in my magic bullet, added some spices and nuked it. It made a very satisfying tomato soup and only had 50 calories in it. My tummy is all warm and satisfied, and I know that getting to sleep will be easier than usually, and I didn't blow my food plan.
What do the rest of you do for a snack in the evening that fits into your goals? Do you starve like I usually do, or do you have something like the soup I just had? What do you do about evening hunger? Thanks

I get this frequently now.. my body wants more than the 800 that I've capped as the max.. So, I do what you do.. I eat my veggies! Green beans, pickled veggies.. whatever. Sometimes I slice up a dill really thin and crunch it like chips.. I try to eat my last meal later in the evening, and have been eating more mini-meals as well throughout the day, but I do frequently go to bed with a growling stomach. I need to investigate making kale chips, those might do the trick.
I also save my last meal or snack for late...... I have always not been able to fall asleep hungry.

I save calories for the evening because I know I'll be hungry. I drink while watching TV so I won't mistake thirst for hunger and then I usually also have either a protein bar, protein hot chocolate or nuts as an evening snack.

I always saved calories for a planned evening snack. I know a lot of folks say eating in the evening is "what made us fat" but for me mindless snacking in the evening off bad choices was the problem . A planned snack in the evening actually helps me avoid that, so I had (and still have) one every night.
Veggies are good, or a hard-boiled egg. Now that I have more calories in maintenance, it's nut butter time for me many days.
