Well, made it to goal.. at least goal #1

I hit my "goal" weight spot on this am.. It was surprisingly not a big deal to me? I guess for a few reasons.. one: I know I want to drop some more fat and two: after doing this for the last year plus, the numbers just don't hold the magic for me.. it's more the way I feel and look, and it's not like all of a sudden my work is done.. I got a lifetime to try my damnedest to stay healthy. I AM happy, don't get me wrong.. but it wasn't a big Happy-Happy-Joy-Joy moment.. which 30lbs ago I thought it would be.. More of a "hey, cool" moment.

Which brings me to the other part.. I am still dropping, and won't be changing anything up yet- other than to add some more serious weights to the mix as I have a case of washboard chest happening, and I'm not fond of seeing & feeling all the ribs. Need to lift heavier and get that filled in better- arms, good- legs, good.. chest.. nope! Everything though could be bigger with muscles. I like them on me.. just need to work harder at that part. I can hike my butt off, and I can help clear a fallen tree (yesterday's chore at my parents.. hoping I didn't get any poison ivy!) Things I could never have done one year ago. Those types of things make me feel great about this whole deal.

I will get my husband to snap some pics of me and post them later. Last time I took any was when I got under 200, so I'm overdue for that reality check. Till then, thanks to all who share advice and their own trials along the way.. it helps so many starting out, including me.

Congratulations to you!  I can empathize too - got a case of the 'ribbies'.  Need to hit the gym.

Yeah, kinda feels a tad icky in the shower.. never thought I'd feel any bones.. now those, and these weird things I've heard called "hip-bones" have made an appearance.

Hip bones creep me out too.  Also the neck/clavicle bones.  Bah.

Congrats on reaching an important goal. Regardless of where you end up, remind yourself daily that you are not fat! its worth a smile every day. let us know how the work with weights goes. something i need to do too.

Do something to commemorate this day and then set the next goal - even if its to maintain - but sounds like you are headed lower. go for it. I am totally convinced its best to go a little on the low side to start as a few of those lost pounds may find you again.

Thanks Diane!

Not fat. That's a big thing to wrap my head around.. wow.

I think I'm going to aim for 140. I may or may not get there, but what's the harm in trying?.. It looks like my body could give that up without much issue.. now if I actually start getting my butt in gear and lifting, it may not be quite that much because of muscle gains.. but we'll see.

ETA: just the FACT I can see the muscle gains.. whooo! Happy girl here!
