Hello all hope you all had a great Easter. I am headed in for surgery again at 10 am. This time it is to fix my hernia that happened after my tummy tuck. They say I should in and out of surgery fast and that I get go to home. I pray I get to go home today but I get so sick after that I end up staying the night till I am able to hold down fluid.

Well I guess off to take a shower and get ready have a great day all.
My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

I wanted to ask you, it was my understanding that a TT helps to prevent further hernias, not to cause them. I had 3 incarcerated hernias that were fixed with my LBL, and I never knew I had them.

Even though they were pulling in pieces of my bowel, I had no pain what so ever. Do you have any more information you could explain to me? I'm afraid of getting more hernias and not knowing about it and getting internal damage.

My surgeon said it was not a true hernia when he got under my skin he found that I had a deep depression in one spot of my muscle so he had to sew the muscle area than he reinforced it and told my husband that I will be sore he sure is right.

In my cat scar it showed a tear in my muscle wall he said it was not one that there was alot of fluid in that spot because it was deep. When he though I had a hernia he said this is common with a tummy tuck and that if I did have one it might come back after repair. I have no other info on this sorry. I hope not to have this again. Now I am dealing with a nerve I have to go in to see him again in 2 weeks for an injection again. I will ask him more questions. Sub if you have any questions you want me to ask I will just let me know.

I did get home the day of surgery at 5 pm when I told them I was ready to get sick the nurse said oh no we can do something about this she left running and came back running with 3 different shots to put in my IV and they worked in 5 minutes. I was so happy for this. My durgeon and I spoke and I asked him to try not to use a patch or mesh screen. He told my husband he did not use one that is why he had to dbl sew the spot. Thank you all so much for the well wishes. I hope now to just worrie about finishing school and not having the pain I had. I am so excited to be going to school.
