Hey Frisco -

Really loving this post and the ensuing discussion.  Great stuff.

Since my surgery, I've taken a whole-foods approach, and am definitely going with full-fat mayo.  Sometimes I mix it with Greek yogurt, sometimes not.  But I'd rather have a little less full-fat mayo made with five ingredients than a big serving of the "lite" or low-fat mayo made with a bunch of crap.  (Seriously, compare the ingredients list next time you shop!)

Definitely going to take your idea of mixing mayo with Sirracha - sounds delicious...mmmmm....

I, too am a real food person. That is, indeed, why I had my surgery. So I could eat balanced nutritious meals, and not overdo it.
I had a volume eating problem. Now I have a wonderful tool that keeps the volume in check, and I enjoy eating great flavor, high
quality foods, and have never, after the first week gotten my protein from any source other than real foods. I tried the protein shakes, but became so dehydrated the first week, that I swore off them, and concentrated on getting in a balanced diet with real food. I have loved this journey and so appreciate my sleeve.
Love real mayo, but eat it only when it makes the difference.
Just like you said, Frisco.

Wishing you all the best, Carol

I would like to see some of the recipes you have for the 'Greek Yogurt concoctions' if you have them somewhere to view?

I hope to one day believe again that whatever my mind can conceive & believe I will achieve.
