Guess I am in a chatty mood.

Another interesting observation about being a 2.5 year sleever living with an almost 5 month sleever husband.

For these past months I eat so much more than my husband! That was never the case pre sleeve and  when I first got mine and ate so little he couldn't believe i could live on so little. he would say it was no fun to go out to dinner and watch me eat so little. So now he has 2 oz fish and a couple of snow peas and I eat 3/4 of an eat-rite low carb pizza and feel like i am pigging out.

SN is down 123 lbs total. I predict rock star status at our support group next week.

It must be so nice for the two of you to do this together!  My dh has always been thin and fit     and eats for two without gaining an ounce.  Watching him munching down all the time is very tempting for me!

Sure wish my DH would get sleeved.  So happy for both of you!  I don't seem to be having any problem maintaining, but it seems I can eat so much more, I keep feeling like the scales are going to start going up.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

So happy for you both.
Also thankful for this forum and for all of you on it.
It is very helpful to me to have you all.
My DH would have been very proud of me, as he was supportive of this whole journey, so am very glad that you and your husband are both doing this. Your brother also.
A friend from work just got sleeved, and I am very happy for her.
I have also been able to share with about 4 other people who have been approved for surgery and were on the fence about which kind of surgery to get. They had never really talked with anyone who had done the VSG and were thrilled to get a first hand perspective on it.
All were members of the same family who had been battling health issues related to overweight. Dr. had recommended weight loss surgery, and they had been approved, but they were unsure about what course to take. Afraid to take the plunge. They kept thanking me for talking to them about it, over and over again.
I became excited for them, as I remembered my anticipation of surgery and changing my life.
I sort of tend to take it for granted a little bit now, but I am still so thankful, and in awe of the change that it has brought in my life.

Wishing you all the best, Carol
