I'm almost there!

Gosh, I'm really close to goal.  It's so exciting!  Only 4.2 pounds left until I hit my dream number!  I really wasn't sure I could ever get there, but now I know I can.

I'm getting boney and pokey in some areas.  I was originally thinking my maintenance range would be 145-150, but I really liked myself at 155.  But I want to get to 145 to give myself wiggle room for potential bounce back.  I am now sorta thinking my maintenance range may be 145-155.

Thoughts???  Either way I'm giddy with anticipation!

I am so excited for you.  I hope you pick a great way to celebrate.  I would encourage you to go to the lower goal weight.  Right now the losing is relatively easy compared to how it's going to be later on.  Most of us have a small bounce back in the first few years.  You can always put a few pounds back on a year or two from now if you really want to do it.  My guess is you will not want to.  Also, remember that our fat stores continue to migrate rather dramatically in the first year or so after we reach goal.  What looked bony on me a few years ego, looks just fine now.  My face looks much better now then two years ego for example.  Whatever you do, the final result will always be in your hands.  You will always be able to lose or gain a bit if you want to do it, so nothing is written in stone.  After you reach goal, the journey just continues.

That makes perfect sense.  Sort of how the first 6 months are the easiest to lose weight, then the second 6 months are a little harder and it just keeps getting harder from there.  I guess I'll see how I feel at 145... thanks for the advice!!

YAY!  You absolutely should be giddy!  What a wonderful feeling to be so close to a goal that means so much to you.  You've worked hard to get here and should be so proud of yourself!!  Way to go and congratulations on being close enough to be excited.
