Just wondering, how slow did it fall away for you?
I'm averaging about 4lbs a mo now, sometimes more, sometimes less for the last couple of months. Closing in time..

Some of us are still battling those last 5-10 pounds.  In my humble opinion they are as hard to lose like it was pre-vsg.  You will find other people that are struggling to NOT lose any more weight.  Everyone is different and everyone's experience is unique.

True, just a curiosity question as I like to read others experiences with this. I'm within spitting distance to my lowest ever adult weight (that after losing from 308 to 155) and I can't recall how it was back then, almost 15yrs ago. I know it took me about a year and a half to pull that off, but I was also in my early 20's too!

The last 25 took me about a year.  That was calorie/carb counting along with an hour of daily exercise.  Nothing ever fell off me, but I was unusually slow.  I think I'm a late bloomer.  :)

On my 1 year surgversary, 2/23/11,  I weighed 172.8.  The surgeon's goal weight for me was 170.  Fast forward to 9/28/11 and I hit 141.8.  So, 7 months to lose that last 30 pounds.  And all I was doing was what I had done all along - followed the program rules 99.9% of the time.   If you are losing at 4 lb a month, you'll lose it at about the same length of time I did, so I would say you are right on target.

I have friends who, at 4 months out "cheat" all the time and wonder why they aren't losing like I did.

Of course, we are all different, but if your body wants to keep losing, keep on keepin' on and you have success.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

.. weird. My post to you showed up down below as Deactivated.. but the other replies are fine?

That sounds good to me! I'm planning on keeping on till things either a. start looking too small/weird or b. my BF% drops to a level below what I'm comfy at.. (doubt that will happen, but you never know!!)

Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with how things have progressed just by doing what I've been these last months. I'm a happy carnivore (with a slight pickle addiction.. oh, and caffeine.)

Knock down drag out hardcore fight.......

Kicking, twisting, spitting old school street fight......

You got to sooooo want it......

You have to try harder at this part than any prior phase......

Many, many, many look for the magic formula (trust me....I looked also) to lose the last weight.

This is the part where many fall short and how the EWL Statistic is established.

All that said....... Some are fine with it and I don't blame them.....truly a personal choice.....

But it is a fight you can win if you want it and are up for the challenge !!!!

Welcome back Jo !

Frisco, that knock down, drag outm kicking, twisting all sounds like great exercise to me!  You're right about having to really really really want it.
