Help I have eaten everything in sight today!

I am going through a very stressful time and in fact did not sleep at all last night and stayed home from work. I have eaten nothing but junk food today. It is scary how quickly I can fall back into stress eating.

I did walk today, but am still pretty upset with myself. Will be getting back on track now.

Thanks for listening!

Man, don't you just HATE those kind of days? With VSG however, most of us seem to be good the very next day and the one day insult does not do us much damage, except emotionally. Good luck!

I usually have a few eaty days a month but then I have a few days where I'm just not hungry so it all balances out.

The big thing for me is to drink enough. Otherwise I snack like crazy.

Hi again! Just to follow-up--I have zero appetite today. Could not finish half an egg. I have been ignoring these kinds of days and have, instead, been concentrating on the days I seem to be able to consume over 1,000 calories--we all dwell on the guilt days. The mind works that way--tends to focus on the bad days. From now on I am going to pay attention to the "good" days, the days where I eat like a bird and am satisfied. Oh Lordie, thank goodness for those days! I guess in the long run, the 2 kind of days balance each other out and that is what maintenance is all about.

I think we all have days where we feel like that. Nothing to do about the past except move on. Next time you have a munchy day make sure you have protein around and skip the carbs. Hide the bad stuff or get rid of it. Drink a big chai and try to make yourself wait awhile before eating the craved items. sometimes it goes away. you have worked too hard on your new habits to abandon them now.   diane

Thanks everyone! I am back on the wagon. It is just so scary how quickly we can fall into old habits!

The old ways scare the bejeezus outa me!  For me, it's a decision away.  You posted about it.  That was very brave.  You're still in the game!
