I am not at goal yet...its been a struggle I have had a junk food relapse and I am now incorporating excerise and I now i relize that i cant eat french fries and rice ( it starts my carb spiral)

So now I am back on track and I feel like I can get more support here with the veterans of VSG and people who on maintaining their goal weight.

So my question is ...can I post here?

Hey MsRo! i know im not at goal yet and ive had some minor set backs with surgeries in the past 2 months thats made me gain weight, ughhhhh! It's hard to maintain because of that but you can do it girl! I know how hard it is to give up on some sweets and breads which is my biggest problem too but recently i noticed if i take in all my protein before any junk fook or drink a glass of water before i dive into the cookies n cream ice cream it helps me big time. LOL, Your almost there and im sure with excercise you will be able to maintain and get to your goal weight in no time. take one day at a time , i need to stay off the scale since it seems to control my emotions throughout the day but im realizing that i need to focus on me and not that scale.
It also helps me coming on here for support and looking at my pictures , just knowing where i came from is so inspirational to me. keep your head up and Good luck!

Of course you can post here!!!  Anyone can, but, you are a veteran now and have most likely outgrown the main VSG board.  I know I have.  Many of us on here are a bit shy of our goal and trying hard, plus trying hard to maintain our weight without gaining  It's a struggle, but we can do it!!!  Welcome to the board!

absolutely you can post here. its a good place to get info for those who are further along.

yeah, the carbs can really set it off for some of us. Even in maintenance I avoid them. no bread , pasta, french fries or rice. I find it just easier to stay away from that stuff than to try to eat just a little. no such thing.

so when you crave that stuff, reach for some dense protein and try to get out of the carb habit. some people do fine with moderate carbs but some of us just can't do it. I am one of those.

again, post all you want and read through the older posts for further thoughts on this issue.

Thanks you guys I am in need of some serious support and the regular vsg board is not enough. I need to start attending my surgeons support group again also. It was helpful I am one of those people that need "in person" support too.

Carbs are the devil I thought I could do it My way yea right..I realize that my way is not working and I need to lay off completly. so no rice , bread, pasta, or french fries. The reason why I am saying french fries instead of potatoes, they are my weakness I can eat  WHOOOOLE lot of them suckers! mash potatoes i can only eat a spoon full, whole potatoes even less so I can have them in a stew or a small baked yam.

Anyway thank you for letting me vent !

Ill keep you posted  Yoga tommorrow ...its my first time so wish me luck
