Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Thursday, 3/22/2012
Surgery Date - 3/3/2010
Highest Weight - 380 Lbs
Consult Weight - 357 Lbs
Surgery Weight - 309 Lbs
Total Amount Lost - 165 Lbs
Goal Range - 190 - 200 Lbs
Yesterdays Weight - 194.7 Lbs
Today's Weight - 192.8 Lbs
Gain/Loss - - 1.9 Lbs
Random Thoughts:
- Sure the loss was due to the fact that I didn't eat much yesterday and my body is pretty much empty. Wasn't intentional was just so busy yesterday.
- Have my two year doctor visit today. Maybe I just want to show off.
- I do like being below my mid point (range). Although, I don't know if it will last.

OK, gang. Do I just hang it up and change my target range, or what? I still look a little thin to me, but my body is NOT cooperating.

Have you increased your calories by adding some healthy fats and other foods? Your body may not be finished, but you need to increase your calories to slow the loss down, if that is what you want to do. It's up to you, how low you want to go. With time, your body does adjust and things fill in, so that the gauntness disappears. It takes awhile for the weight redistribution to occur.

I have adjusted my calories. Eating nuts and nut butters, using 2% milk in my shakes, etc. My body is playing this game: I up the calories 150 or so. I stabilize for a couple of weeks and think, "Aha! I've got it now!" Then I lose 3-4 lbs in a few days. Up the calories another 150 and repeat the cycle.
At some point I really will have it, but then I'm hesitant to try to deliberately gain any back even though I'm below goal. That feels like borrowing trouble.
