4 year surgiversry today

today is my 4 year surgiverary1  Since I chose to keeep it to myself, with the exception of a few people.  You are the ones I can share my joy with.  today I celebrated my surgiversary with a kickboxing class and a Zumba class.  I have lost and kept off 80 lbs. , I am currenlty a fitness instructor. This was the best thing I have ever done for myself!  I can't say I have loved every minute of it.. There have been times I let my  "former fat girl" order a meal and really wanted to fini**** bu couldn't.  and times I have missed being able to be lost in the croud of people.
But i now I stand out for who I am, and was on the inside all along. People are more willing to see sthe real me..which I love and hat e at the same time.  I have always been the same perso inside, I do feel happy and sad that people are more willing to give me a chance now that i am not obese.  I am preaching to the choir here , yo all know what I am talking about..  None the less, I am happy, I am 80 pounds lighter and  counting, I am fit, i am not skinny, but I am fit!!  I wouldn't change a thing, and i wish the same for you!!

Love,

Pear

Congratulations Pear!  Four years is awesome.  I think it's so cool that you're a  Fitness instructor!

Isnt it great when our insides match our outsides?  Bravo on your incredible journey!

Congratulations on being such a success!!! Fit is the new skinny, from what I hear and read on T-shirts. I love hearing success stories.

In four years, how much has your restriction changed? How much of your hunger has returned?

Sometimes, I think that people do treat us differently, since we are thinner. But, I also wonder, how much different we may be acting and people are also responding to our changes in behavior and improved self-esteem. At work, people treat me with the same respect, as they did when I was heavy, so the weight wasn't an issue. Where I see the biggest difference, is with strangers. I'm not as invisible as I used to be.

Wishing you continued success!!!

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Yes Please share about what kind of restriction you have now. It scares me that I can eat quite a bit more and I'll be 3 years out soon. I hope it's done stretching.

Congratulations! It's so nice to hear from people who are farther out and still doing well and are so  happy!
