First I want to say a BIG thank you (all) for the advice/encouragement offered to me!  I appreciated OH and especially the VSG forums.

My scale read 137 this am so still up two pounds from last month.  I'm working on starting Chalean Extreme (weight training) and cutting out some cardio.

Can't wait for Monday to get here!  Will let you all know how I've changed since my last body comp (DEXA) which was done last October.

Hugs........Jennifer

Good for you, for getting the Bod Pod scheduled. Just remember the results may vary, since the various testing methods can have some variation, but at least the Bod Pod will give yuo an idea of where you are at right now.

If you have one, wear a 2 piece suit. They don't tell you this, but air trapped in the bathing suit will throw off the results. There tends to be more air trapped in a 1 piece suit than a 2 piece.

Hmmm.............I didn't know that. How would it throw off the results?

It measures air displacement and assumes the only air inside you is from breathing. So, if you have air trapped in your clothes, it's assumptions are off.

I think that's what happened to me when I got the ridiculous 32% body fat reading. I had on a one-piece that was reversable and I'm sure I had air trapped, not only between my skin and the suit, but between the two layers of the suit.
