Insanity is...

Welcome home!  I use Almond Breeze unsweetened for my protein shakes.  It's low cal, low carb without the lactose.  I also use lactose free protein powders.  This week I am trying Isopure chocolate, high  protein, very low carb.

There is nothing wrong with going to Weigh****chers for accountability.  I started going a year ago for the public weighing.  I'm cheap and don't  want to pay  so I stay at goal.  It's quite an eye opener when I look at the points because protein is high.  I generally just use Myfitnesspal to keep calories and carbs low and make sure protein is high.

You have the right attitude.  You'll be successful.  Moving will make you feel good in your body.

Good luck and please post often.

welcome back. yeah, there are so many good ideas in those previous posts about getting back on track. you are wise to review them.  some rebound gain is pretty normal and common so you are not weird. but that doesn't mean you have to accept it.  maybe some soy based protein drinks would work better for you or just one meal a day. otherwise, maybe pretend you are back in the soft foods stage and eat in that way.  journal all your food.   we are all sending you good wishes. keep posting how you are doing.     diane

Welcome back.  I can't think of anything that I can add that others haven't already said.  I do go to TOPS.  Weighing in there weekly has really helped me stay on track.  Honestly, if I wasn't going to TOPS, I KNOW I would have gained some back by now.   TOPS is cheaper than WW, but you may not have a TOPS chapter in your area.

I also am on Fitness Pal.  Look for me there.  Same name - moparmemaw.  I haven't "friended" anyone on there because I just use it to track my food, but sounds like I should friend a few peopld. Hmmmm.....when did "friend" become a verb?!  LOL

Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Insanity is having one surgery, almost dying from band erosion, having the sleeve... AND STILL NOT WORKING IT! In fact, making myself sick over stuffing my tummy and eating things that are killing me (lettuce, nuts, sodas). My come-to-Jesus moment was when the dr who did my band removal (but neither of my surgeries) refused to see me when I called bc I had another surgery out of the country. So...I knew it was on me to make it right. Began the 5 Bite Diet to get back on track. I began Thursday. I'm not worried about the weight...just want the throwing up to stop.

Hi, BA, I'm not familiar with the 5 Bite Diet.  There are two words that I'm attempting to remove from my vocabulary - diet and lose.  Gawd knows how many diets that I've been on and off, and on...  Also losing weight implies that we can find it.  I don't want it back.  Just little mind games that I play with myself to help with the self-talk.
A group of us in the Dallas area are involved in a book study, Dr. Connie Stapleton's Eat It Up.  It's about food addiction.  She's a recovering addict so she knows her stuff.  She lectures at OH conferences and is doing a two day conference here in October.  I don't know what drives you but I am certain that sugar and carbs are my demons that I will forever fight.  I'm just learning how to cope.
I started logging on My Fitness Pal.  Yes, it's work but I'm worth it.  I'm 1divaatheart there if you want to friend.  After gaining 20 lbs., I am sufficiently scared.  Please take care of yourself.  Do it a minute at a time if you must.  There's only one you!
