Who counts veggies as part of your caloric intake?
Obviously, I would not be talking about corn, peas, or any other high starchy veggie that I rarely eat....I am talking about spinach, broccoli, and ect....
I eat spinach everyday and was thinking to myself...really? Spinach did not make me fat, especially less that a cup of fresh spinach a day. *thanks to tiny tum
Anyway, just wondering... :)

Yes, I put everything into MyFitnessPal, even cucumbers, other vegies, and all my special sauces/salsas/dips I make all the time. They add up, even though they are great calories/carbs to ingest. The sauces I make homemade and always have in containers in my fridge to dip cheese and meat into and spread onto eggs: Tzatziki sauce/roasted green tomatillo, garlic, olive oil, onion, cilantro salsa/roasted red pepper sauce/garlic roquefert sauce/Hidden Valley Buttermilk dressing, etc. I found a clove of garlic is actually quite high in carbs, so yes, I do put it all in my food planner. I still try to stay under 30 grams of carbs per day, and usually only eat 2 tablespoons of my sauces at any one time. It took me awhile, but I finally found all these specialty sauces in MyFitnessPal--I just had to look at all the options and see which one fits the best, but I finally built up a catalog of all my specialty foods. I put spinach and broccoli in, etc, as I always add cheese and butter to them, so yes, everything is included. If I just ate raw spinach and broccoli quite often, I would probably forego all the effort of cataloging them.
I count everything. It's too complicated otherwise and, if it's too complicated, I'm not going to keep it up.
Plus, when you start not counting things, you open the door to fooling yourself. Like eating 100 calories worth of carrots and not counting it beause "it's good for me".
