Time to stop losing

Hey gang,

I do love having to ask this question, but find it a tad scary too.

I am below goal and still losing. I can tell I am entering one of those phases where the lbs melt off for about a week, and really don't want to lose any more.

Do you good folks have any food suggestions to help me level out and hold steady?

Same thing happened to me.  I'm current maintaining at about 17 lbs below goal.  You want to increase calories without materially increasing refined carbs, so that means more protein and good fats - avocado, nuts, nut butters - and whole grains.  Some people report they increase total calorie count by 100 per day - say, staying at the new higher level for a couple weeks each time - until the weight loss stops.

This will result in losing more weight, but I've also heard people say that gives them a bit of a cushion, or comfort level, in the event of a small bounceback regain.  In my case, I've discovered that I'm happy where I am, so even though I ended up quite a bit below goal, I don't feel like I have a cushion.

This was me too. Like what was already posted, you have to increase calories a little until you find where it levels off. but don't do it with sugar or junk carbs. healthy fats like nuts, peanut butter and such are good. my nut even suggested 1% milk or gy that is not fat free. now is the time to be forming you maintenenance habits. you may find yourself dropping a little low at times but eventually you will become comfortable with more calories and it won't be a problem. i maintain on 1100 to 1200 per day and thats all. congrats on your weight loss success.  don't try to gain weight - it will come back a little after a year or so .

enjoy your new skinny life!!!
