VSG Maintenance Group
Some Rambling Thoughts
It's a shame people feel like they have a right to an opinion on how much you do or do not eat. Maybe you snacked before coming, maybe you are not feeling well. There could be a dozen reasons besides having VSG why you chose to eat small amounts and take the rest home. Why is it any or his concern?
Unfortunately, there are several places I no longer go to because it makes no sense- those Brazilian steak houses where they just keep bringing slabs of meat to the table, expensive restaurants that charge per person regardless, buffets, and my pet peeve- restaurants that charge for sharing! I could go on and on. Hubby and I never order more than one meal, always sharing. One time I went to dinner with my daughter and she refused to share, so I ordered what the waiter recommended. He thought I didn't enjoy it, so he refused to charge me for it. I tried explaining that it was delicious, but that I was a small eater. He wouldn't here of it insisting that I didn't touch it, and even brought us dessert on the house. Oh well, I tried!
One thing that bothered me (OK, still does) is going out with other couples, which we do all of the time. The bill always gets split evenly, although I NEVER order a meal. We have some friends that just order and order and order including bottles of wine(which I have become a one glass wonder), and then the bill comes, and it's 50/50. I've learned to make peace with this(for the most part) and consider it a small price to pay for enjoying their company :)

I worked with people like that and one day I put my foot down. We went out as a group for lunch every Friday and they'd order steak for lunch and acouple of drinks and I'd order an egg salad sandwich and a coke and then they'd want to split the bil. I absolutely think they did this on purpose and were deliberately trying to eat on everyone else's dime and it pissed me off that I had to put myself in the position of being the "rude" one and refusing but I only had enough money on me to pay for my own lunch so I really had no choice.
