Plastics advice..anyone out there that can help?
I am two weeks away from 1 full year on maintenance and have been doing great. I am a size 2 and look good in my clothes, but have some skin and sagging issues I'd like to get addressed at some point. Basically, my entire body looks like a deflated balloon.
Like I tell my husband, I am in my later 30s, but some part of my body look like they are in my 60s-80s and I don't see the clock turning back from here :) So, I have gone to a few plastic surgeons. I choose a few that do work with post-bariatric patients.
To be honest, they all tell me slightly different things...so I was just wondering if many of you out there have had plastics and would be willing to chat and/or share some of your experiences.
FYI - I am also looking at dermafiller options for my face as my face has aged dramatically due to loss of fullness...lots of extra skin, depressions in my cheeks, and deep smile lines. I am not ready (too young) for any kind of surgery on my face. But, every plastic surgeon I have gone to seems to use different products (e.g., Radiesse, Restylane/Perlane, Juvederm, etc.) and they all have different reasons for it. Of course, I have done my usual Internet research but any experience or help here would be appreciated as well.

You'll find great info on the plastics forum. I had my body done in December. My face had gotten way too thin and I looked 80, not 61. My surgeon did a fat transfer to my face while doing other work. He used the fat from my leg for my face. He used the fat from my thighs to give me a tush.
I chose to go to Dr. Sauceda in Mexico because it was 1/3 the cost of Kaiser and 1 recovery, not 4.

Lee,
Is Dr. Sauceda the doctor that Aceves recommends?
Is there anything that you would do different that you know now about plastics?
And by the way, based on your avitar, your face looks amazing. Heehee.

LOL, ok ok, I put my other face back on.
I went into this process trusting Dr. Sauceda and his skills. I think he's a rock star and would recommend him to anyone.
The main thing that I've learned is that having so many procedures done at the same time, at 61 requires a lot of time to heal. It's not a fast recovery for me and takes a lot of effort to keep all of my ducks in a row. Plastics doesn't end at surgery but is a long process of incision/scar care. That said, knowing what I know today, I wouldn't change anything.
