Good Visit w/ Surgeon
Today I saw my surgeon for the first time since my 6 month visit a year ago, just before I got pregnant. He was super impressed with my progress (especially since I "just" had a baby). He wants me to write up a testimonial with pics for his website and asked if I'd be willing to come to some of his support group meetings to share my experience with new patients and new post-ops. He said that I could be his "poster-child" of success. It felt great to know that all my hard work has really paid off with "real" results. He just started a new practice on his own, and I'm very impressed with all the changes. It seems like the patients will be getting a much more personal experience now than with the old practice. I really hope to be able to inspire patients that are on the fence about WLS and can't believe that I'm now the "tiny" patient that they'll dream of becoming the way I did when I saw people who had been successful. When I first got there, they had me in the computer wrong as an "initial consult" and the girl at the desk was so confused when she saw me... so glad she was easily able to tell that I was not coming in to have surgery! Overall, a great appointment!
