Imediately after surgery, it felt like I wasn't losing weight fast enough.

Then at the halfway point, it felt like I was losing weight faster than my brain could cope.

Now that I'm so close to goal, it feels like it's too slow people.

- The last pounds are a fight..........

- Than you get to goal......and you bask in Glory

- Than your amazed at the size jeans you end up in......

- Than you realize your brain is still way behind.....you still fear the restaurant booth, airline seat, you think you can't get into your car cause another car park to close....but than you realize you can.....

- Than you need to buy a new suit for an event...... and it's an enjoyable experience.

- Than you miss the WL phase cause there are far less scale victories.

- Than you realize maintenance is kinda boring.......

- Than when your head catches up a bit.....you go into "Protect Mode" meaning you want to protect your new weight and your new life !!!!

- The fear of regain

- Than there are temptations.....

- Than after a year of stability......you relize it seems your new normals are pretty automatic and your on auto pilot....... still concious of what's going on....but it takes less effort....

That's mine anyway......

Before I hit goal....a very wise man (our own Frisco!) told me "you will fight for every ounce of the last 10 lbs"..and he was so right!!  I never forgot what you told me Frisco.  Those last 10 lbs were the hardest to lose...I think harder than all of the rest of the weight.  You think you will never get there...but keep at it.  Every ounce counts and eventually it does happen!  Keep your eye on the prize!!

Yep, its always something, isn't it.  But just you wait, you will hit that goal number on the day you least expect it and I bet you drop below goal because your sleeve does not automatically get bigger on the day you hit goal. As a compliant patient, you won't go out and start eating junk and it sometimes takes awhile to learn what it takes to stop losing without gaining.

Actually, doen't you think the anticipation is kind of fun?
