Baggy skin and filling back out..

I keep reading that after one loses their weight they will eventually fill back out or the remaining fat will redistribute.  For anyone who has experienced this at what point did you notice it?

I'm 16 months out from my surgery and have lost 125 pounds.  My inner thighs are a hot mess with the saggy skin but last night I was looking in the mirror and I noticed that they don't look quite as saggy as they did a while back.  Also, my face got pretty thin and over the weekend I posted a new pic on FaceBook and a friend asked me why I posted that "old" picture of me.  When I told her it was only a couple of weeks old her response was "oh, it might just be the angle".  Then last night another friend commented that I looked different in my new FB picture.  (I say friend but it's my ex who preferred me fat)  When I took a really close look at the picture my face looks a lot fuller and more round than it usually does.  Wondering if things could be moving and shifting this soon.

I haven't really had the experience of fat redistributing - except perhaps for in my face a bit.  If anything I look healthier now in maintainence than I did when I was losing weight so quickly.  But also I think we get more used to our appearance - and so do our friends.

My skin did continue to shrink and my fat continued to redistribute after I hit goal. But it's not like I went from needing plastic surgery to not needing it. We're talking subtle differences.

I'm sure I will still look like a sharpei but any little changes would be appreciated.

Hmmm, we have lost the same amount of weight. I am two years 2 months out. I think things do settle in a little but like MacMadame said, I could still use some plastic surgery. My inner thighs are the worst too - so when i shopped for a bathing suit I ended up with one with a little skirt - not due to fat but to cover sags. Jeez.

Anybody who could make a serious skin shrinking cream would make big bucks!!  So yeah, you probably are shifting a little now and may do a little more. be glad!    Diane

Thanks Diane.  I was thinking that it was too soon for things to be shifting right now.  Glad to know that maybe they are.  :)

I'm almost 3 years out.  I like my face better today than a year ago.  Last year you saw all of the wrinkles (my face looked like a road map)!  My skin sags everywhere else and that is ok with me.  I'm turning 67 this year and I'm happy with my body and face.

I am definitely seeing some improvement in my thighs, batwings and face. I had been looking pretty gaunt and things seem to be filling in a bit. I am very please with the improvement in the thighs / arms and think my exercise may have helped a wee bit, but that mostly it's got be be time, good luck, and genetics.

Stomach is still a hot mess, but easy enough to keep it covered, so I don't care all that much!
