VSG Maintenance Group
Hi everyone...
My last 10lbs were putting up resistance, but I'm having a thyroid hormone conversion issue. I was advised to up my calories to help jump-start the metabolic process, basically. I started having issues when I got sick last month. It's been a bit of a challenge.
I have a lot of restriction and virtually no hunger. I'm targeting 1200 calories and it's hard without adding empty calories. I basically have to eat constantly, and I've gone from "I have no hunger and 800 calories a day is easy" to "I always feel full and this is kind of a chore trying to get calories."

I am eating everything (nothing off limits) and trust me, the poundage between 180 to 170 was a ***** and took forever to lose. Now the difference between 165 and now (158) is just coming off on its own with absolutly no effort from me and really, enough is enough!!! I just cant seem to get in enough calories!!!

I would also like to add that your body is still going though adjustment phases and I keep hearing people say that you will start to fill out a bit. Not necessarily put on weight but that your weight will kind of distribute. So, if your face is really gaunt now, it might not look that way in 2 months.
Also, if I were you, before I tried to put any weight on, I would try and maintain where you are at now. When you hit your one year mark, then decide if you want to lose more and gain some back. This is just my suggestion.

That is an excellent suggestion!
I always cringe a bit when people talk about being too gaunt and wanting to put weight back on. It's definitely something I worried about. But as I and many others have found... it turned out that putting on a bit of weight is way too easy and time takes care of the gaunt thing.
As for getting in mpre calories without forcing yourself to eat all the time, the key is to pick calorie dense foods. Full fat instead of reduced fat or reduced fat instead of fat free. A handful of nuts instead of a half-cup of fat-free cottage cheese for your afternoon snack.
And defintely have an afternoon snack! I call mine "Lunch 2".
