what if i start losing again?? ive beem onm a hold with my weight for the last 2 months almost but tummy yuck has to be done. I have a large ventral herinia thats sticking out my stomach and the surgeon says that he must do what called a (Component saparation) A procedure that reconstructs the abdomen. My tissue and muscle in my belly are no longer good and ive had hernias repaired 5 times already.

Just wondering if i do my TT , what if i lose more weight. My goal is to lose 23 more pounds even though its been stable for the last 2 months.
Also another question????,I learned in pre op is that the sleeve weight loss tappers off 12-15 months post op so im just concerned about that, alothough i do have friends 2 and 3 years out form sleeve amd still losing...

I had a TT five years before wls.  I had lost from 290ish down to 220, and holy cow, I had a big ol' hangy thing off my front side!  Then, naturally, I gained weight back, up to about 270.  The TT held up fine.  Then I had wls and lost down to 150.  The TT held up fine again.  I don't think it should be a problem.  Best wishes!!

My plastic surgeon (as I think many do) had a requirement of stable weight for at least 6 months. Some I think require a year.

Just like with your wls the skin may not snap back. If that happens you may need a revision.

I would wait a couple of months to until you know your weight is stable. You could be in a long stall and you may continue to loose weight especially since you are not at your goal.

My plastic surgeon told me that it is not uncommon for people to lose more weight after a tummy tuck and for some people they won't need more surgery but for other people they will.  It is a risk you are going to have to take, it sounds like.

I had my tummy tuck 7 weeks ago and I'm very happy with it.  I hope you will be, too.

Good luck.

My Lower Body Lift was seven weeks ago. My surgeon told me that further weight loss could have a detrimental effect on the end results. I'm down 10 pounds since my surgery. At 61 I will never have washboard abs (ok, I can hope and do millions of crunches!) but I am thrilled with my results. I'd like to shed another 5 pounds but that may not happen.

I went into my surgery with a waist measurement of 30-31 depending on the week and now it's 26". I'm happy with that.

As far as weight loss continuing. I was 168 at the 11 month mark so I've lost a good amount since then. Slow but steady.
