Underweight, need support/reassurance

I had WLS 7 months ago. I am already past goal and still losing 3-4 pounds a week. My current BMI is 17.

I tried increasing food intake, but every time I try to eat more I get sick. I am pretty maxed out on volume.

I have stopped all restrictions in my diet. carbs, sugars, fats.

At this point I have read many posts on here that it stops all on its own. but I am afraid. I don't see any signs of this slowing down. My husband is afraid for me. I look great and I still have lots of energy, but much more of this and I will look medically ill. I am currently a size 2 and can fit in 4's, though they are baggy. And where on Earth does the weight come from at this point? I dont have any fat left.

There are a lot of questions there I guess. Any tips tricks thoughts on increasing caloric intake with limited volume?

Reassure me this will stop soon.

My first and foremost advise/recommendation is to see a doctor and nutritionist. The flip side to obesity is that many people have problems keeping weight on and there is much science behind it.

That said my first thought would be to research some of the nutritional drinks that are high in calorie, carbs, protein, some fats as well as having nutritional value.

My thought is that by the addition of these drinks, there should not be any restriction because it is a liquid and should not close your pyloric valve and flow right through your sleeve.

There are a few here that are up nutritional supplementation. Macmadame comes to mind, maybe she can chime in......

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your kind reply. It does help confirm that I am heading in the right direction. I figured the fastest way to stop the loss train was change what I eat. I have been drinking a bunch of smoothies. Everytime I go somewhere (shopping at mall, barnes nobles, drive through) I am ordering whatever frozen concoction they have on the menu. It is usually 600 or more calories and  I have always been able to take down cold liquids pretty well in volume.

Has anyone here struggled with below normal BMI and trying to increase, maintain to get to normal?

I googled but it was all so unhelpful. The stuff they recommend like upping to 3000 calories a day is impossible with the amount of food I can eat. My restriction is still very tight being this soon out from surgery. I can eat 2 ounces, sometimes 3 of dense protein in a meal. And I feel so full I feel ill if I pu**** beyond that. I get in 4-5 meals a day currently.

I have a friend who is one of quads and she is tiny.  she always rolls at about 90lbs but after the birth of her first child she just started to lose weight.  The doctor put her on ensure.  I remembered it because my grandmother couldn't est toward the end and Ensure kept her alive.  It's pretty high in everything so even taking one a day might be really beneficial for you.  good luck

Friso is right, see a doctor!

When I need to get in more calories or protein but my tummy has been feeling tight I make a protein drink from Chocolate Syntrax Nectar and coffee and splenda. This is thin and doesn't fill me up at all.

The smoothies are a great idea and if they aren't filling I'd keep drinking them, even make them at home and add some protein powder. I make one with 1 scoop unflavored protein powder, 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 cup of milk, 2 TBS of Splenda and a splash of vanilla. I'm sure you could play around with this and make other flavors by using orange juice concentrate or pinapple juice concentrate. This drink is filling for me, so It may not be a good choice for you.

2 things come to mind...the "average" person loses for at least 1 year after surgery AND the "average" person loses 100lbs.

Your body WILL adjust especially the closer you get to 1 year, so please be careful and don't overdue consuming large amounts of sugar and calories.

In addition call your doc...

It baffles me when I read threads like this because I can't get the last 10 pounds off (and I'm 13 months post-op)!  That being said....have you tried adding good fat to your diet?  Butter, bacon grease (yes, it's a "good" fat), coconut oil.  If you like peanut butter try eating two tbsp/per day.  That alone will give you an extra 200 calories.  Good luck.

Also, talk to your doctor and make sure you are not in a hyper-thyroid state. Good luck!

I was wondering about hyperthyroidism as well.  Another medical issue that comes to mind is Celiac disease.  I would have some tests run to see if you have any of these issues.
