Do you walk around happy???

Hello all first off Happy New Year. I was just sitting here thinking if others walk around happy. I am so happy with me now most of the time lol. But for real I usually walk around happy no matter what I am doing I am happy. My husband even said today that when he sees me working or going in to a store and out of the store I walk like I am on  cloud nice makes him smile.

I told him I am truly happy now. I am guessing I am like this because of the weight loss and the exercising. That makes me feel great. I have been so blessed to have been able to have this surgery and it worked for me. I am just living each day to its fullest  now.

Just wondering if others feel like I do?

My surgeon gave me the tool. Now it is up to me to use it right.

Yes, I feel grateful everyday for the gift of WLS. I love how I feel, since I have lost so much weight and have been exercising on a regular basis. It is a gift. I hope I can have some plastics done in the next year, which will continue with the journey. I feel like I have been given a second chance at a healthier life.

Yes Valerie I feel the same way!  I feel a sense of pride and accomplishment that I have never felt before in my life.  It's amazing how the weight loss has totally changed my perception of myself.

It feels so good to be able wear a variety of clothes that I would never have felt comfortable wearing or looked good in before.  For example this week I wore my first Sweater Dress (with boots) to work and got tons of compliments.

I also don't feel so self conscious walking around and welcome the looks from people rather than feeling ashamed of my body.  I actually like getting attention now.  It's so Weird!

I have a new confidence in myself and have noticed that I speak up more in work meetings. I am more outgoing and will walk up to total strangers and start conversations like I did on my recent Solo Cruise.

My family recently joined our local YMCA and I have been faithfully working out for the past few weeks.  When I was heavy I would have been so self conscious about working out in front of other people, but not now!  I get up there on the machines just like all the other skinny chicks!  I just have a little more hangy skin than they do, but so what!!

My life was good before but it is AWESOME now! And I thank GOD for making it possible for me to get my sleeve because it truly changed my life.

Interesting question. I asked my husband if I seemed happier since I lost this weight and he says yes. I think so too. I used to be sort of a cautious worrier and still am but having weight no longer as one of my "burdens" makes a big difference. Its so much easier just to get the basic activities of life done without all that weight that i don't have to worry so much about how i am going to get chores and errands done without pain and exhaustion. I just do them.   diane

My husband has told me I'm a happier for confident person now and I totally agree.  I used to go to bed at night thinking about my weight and wake up in the morning thinking about it.  Like Diane said, it was one of my burdens.  Don't get me wrong, life still has it's downs and it's not always unicorns and rainbows, but I'm a much happier person now.

I've always been a pretty upbeat person, but I have to say that the weight loss has just given me a whole new outlook on life.  I was always happy, but now I ENJOY life more.  Quality of life.

I am no longer a stagnant observer of life, I'm now an active participant.  And. Loving. It.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Any time someone asks "How are you doing?" I say "GREAT!"  Some folks say they wish they were feeling great or that they never have anyone say "great."  Well that's how I feel now, GREAT!  I certainly do have more pep in my step.  I believe this will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I am not big boned!  Bones don't jiggle!
