Weight loss/bounce back question

Thanks everyone for your responses! Very good information.

I think I am mentally worried that the surgery just lasted a "bit" and I'm going to gain gain gain ( just like after every diet I'd ever been on). It's probably more fear that is in my head based on 20 years of yo-yo dieting the same 60 lbs or so on & off.
