You look great. really nice pic.  But my honest opinion is you should try to lose a little more only because now is the best opportunity you will ever have in your life to do so and at 2 or 3 years out there is often a little regain and its good to be a little on the low side when you stop your weight loss phase. BMI can be an arbitrary and non-useful thing for some people but for many of us its desirable to get it into the normal range. Only you can decide if you have heavy bone structure or good muscle mass so that you want to stay at a higher bmi. you might want to get your body fat percentage determined by the bod pod or one of those dunk tanks. lots of health clubs and sports places can do it.   but again, you look super.  Diane
I agree 100% with your opinion because my husband had the gastric bypass 2 yrs ago he was 400lbs and got to 230lbs, but he has gained 30lbs back, and I dont want that to happen to me, I never want to see 200lbs again!!! I was 280lbs at my highest weight and dont ever want to be in the 200's again!!!

I agree with Diane...you look great but I would try alittle more just to allow for the regain that sometimes happens.  I too am 5'6 and my goal is 155..what about that?  I feel good at that weight but I have gained about 5 lbs over the holidays...(not happy with that..working on it!)...I am having plastic surgery in 6 days to get my extra tummy skin off (I am having an extended abdominalplasty and full back lipo) so I hope that helps.
BUt...you look great!!...you  look like you weigh alot less to me.  Go with how you feel but I would want alittle insurance weight wise.

Good luck to you.

I think you look fantastic!  Great job on your weight loss journey.

I agree with everyone else, get down as low as you feel comfortable so that if you have a slight regain later, you'll still feel great about yourself.  I'm in the process of doing that as well.  It has to be easier now than it will be at 3 years etc.

hi!

sneaking over from the main board . . .  i'm not in maintenance yet, BUT i do have to say that you look great and that i'm learning that what's going on with your individual body is often more important than the # on the scale.  i've dropped 2 sizes in about 6 weeks, though i've only lost about 10 lbs.  so . . .

i'm sure what the more experienced folks say about getting as low as possible now is true, but you look healthy (and fabby) now . . .

I think you look great! I'm 5'6" and at first I was going for 150 but then my dr. and I had a long talk about my lowest adult weight, what I would be comfortable at, and we actually settled on 165. I will still be slightly into the "overweight" category on my BMI, but I'm okay with that.

I think 145 is really low for someone who is 5'6" but I agree with everyone else. Stop when YOU are happy, not the numbers, not the BMI charts, but when you FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF!
-8lbs lost during the 6 month insurance hoop jumping,
the rest is since surgery.

See I thought my surgeon was crazy when he said 145lbs, I told him I would look like a skeleton, but see now I dont see my surgeon cause I lived in CA when I had the surgery and now I live in NC so I dont see him anymore =)

I thought my surgeon was crazy when he said 135 and here I am two pounds from goal and feeling GREAT. I think I'm probably right where I should be... between 135 and 140.

I think that you need to base your decision to STOP losing on how you feel combined with what your doc's opinion is. You look absolutely wonderful!

You look great, but I would go for more because of the dreaded bounce back.  I am almost 5'8" and today weigh 166.  I got under 150 for two minutes (and loved it there).  I now want to lose back to under 155.  Keep going while you can.  You look terrific, but not boney or too thin at all, its just that you and everyone else are use to you at a higher weight.
