New Year's Resolution!

I just realized that this is the first year in probably my entire adult life that I do NOT have to resolve to lose weight in the coming year!!!  I would still like to lose a few more pounds but am absolutely content if I never do!  My only resolution is to keep doing what I've been doing and try to start exercising.  Just had my 3rd knee surgery before Christmas, so once it's healed, I plan to get into exercising to put some muscle back on this old body!

Congratulations!  It's a great feeling.  I was talking to my son about this yesterday, about how happy it makes me.  I had plastic surgery in December and while I was a daily exerciser prior to this event, I have six weeks of only walking ahead of me.  My goal will be to get back into my good routines ASAP.

Happy new year!

What a great feeling!

I don't belive in New Year's resolutions.  I think that if you want to change your life, you should do it when you realize it needs changing, not on some arbitrary day when society thinks you should resolve to change.  That being said, I'm so grateful for the random day one April when I took the first step to change my life forever!  I was 219 that day, and I'm proud to know I'll never go back.  My husband needs to lose the "baby weight" that he gained during my pregnancy, so after our last holiday party on the 6th we're going on a family diet.  I'd like to lose about 15 more pounds to get down to my "dream goal" weight and I'm looking forward to a healthy start to 2012!

Paula,
I'm sure you'll get there! The baby will definitely keep you busy! What a blessing! I remember the year I was turning 50 at end of
Dec. my mantra was Fit by 50! I'm sure I gained weight instead. I've never kept ny resolutions so I quit officially making them sometime ago.
Good luck in the new year!
