getting into Misses sizes (yay!!) and squishy tummy (yuck!)
hi all,
just thought id check in with all you maintainers! i'm a year out 1/10 and down 89 lbs. darn sure that i can get down another 10-11 to get to the century mark, so pretty excited about that! Meanwhile, i went out and bought a snazzy black v-neck sweater that shows off my, um, assets (but not in a gross way) and it was a Misses XL. woot woot!!!!! i'm a large in some things, a 14 in others. verrrrrrrrrrrrrry exciting to have 1X be too big for me!! i'm no size 2, but i'm happy!
now, the mushy tummy! i don't have loose skin really, but my stomach is like a mushy mush ball. i have a feeling that's not going away any time soon! any ideas on how to deal with this new puff-ball would be greatly appreciated!
check out my new avatar for my new skinny face!
((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to all!

My tummy is not round, but it is mushy and the surface will move, lending it to muffin top look even when things aren't too tight.
I have two strategies: for comfort, I am picky about the waistbands. High waists make it behave, where-as the low rise stuff gives it free reign to act stupid. So high waisted granny pants for me. This allows me to wear fairly close fitting but outside-the-pants shirts and no-one can see where the jeans sit - but they can see my waist!
For dressy, on the other hand, I put a shaper no the darn thing. They make the best shapers now - not like the ugly prisons of old, but soft and yet controlling. They're an adventure to get into, but once they're on they don't bind and cut like the old ones.
Congrats on the loss so far! Century Club, here you come.

I'm not Mom4 but I'll chime in. I found a brand called "Control It" (oh, how appropriate) at Kohl's that won't break the bank and seems to pull it together without that binding feel. You may want to give it a try...
