Need VET opinions
Thank you all so much for your replies!!
You are right about my NUT being there for advice, but that this is my journey. As I said, if I get results I am doubting she will argue.
The 600-800 seems to work for so many, and I'm determined to try it in order to reach goal. I know that my surgeon is not big at ALL on counting calories. I think it's because he doesn't like doing it himself. His rules are 75% dense protein, and 25% "other" at each meal. Of course that "other" is best if it is a complex carb like a veggie or a bit of fruit, NOT 25% of chocolate cake, but that is his breakdown. However, I personally find it easier to track calories and protein grams than the 75/25 rule.
My current exercise is daily. (On a rare weekend I will actually skip) but my typical week goes like this:
M - Curves
T - Treadmill (mixture of fast walk/run, 1.0 hour total)
W - Curves Plus a 1.0 hour Rec center workout that includes cardio & weights
Th - Curves OR Treadmill
F - Curves
S - Treadmill 1.0 & hand weights
Su - Treadmill 1.0 & hand weights
I haven't done it recently but I used to do water aerobics for an hour class once during the week also. So right now I'm getting a pretty good mix of weights and cardio (Curves is extremely light on the cardio) so I make up for that with my treadmill.
Thanks again for everyone's replies. I will keep you all posted come Jan 2012!
