173 today and I want to cry.  I've been keeping steady at 170 for months now, having dipped to 169 and felt over the moon!  I have a herniated disc and am not *moving* these days due to a big flare up.

This probably deserves its own post, but has any one joined weigh****chers to get those last lbs off?  I'm thinking about it, even though I know the program inside and out!  Off to change my ticker...

Sorry you are stuggling Lucy...

I was maintaining ok, and walking 3-4 miles a day.  Then I got sick (depression) and rarely left the house for awhile.  I kept eating as if I was walking.... needless to say I gained...

I knew something had to give, so I cut back my calories and then maintained.  I cut them back further and started to lose.

I have since lost all of the weight I gained (13 lbs and 2 more) and reached my 'dream' goal.  I am now walking again and feeling much better.

Make some extra adjustments because of the lack of 'moving' and you should be ok.

Good luck honey and hang in there.

Cindy

Thanks so much Cindy.  I too suffer from depression and am pretty sick right now.  It doesn't make me eat more, but I do move less.  Grrrrrrrr.

I am not sure I suffer from depression.  I think I have been depressed or had some sort of nervous break down 3 times in my life.

The last time was 15 years ago.  And then most recently I have been stuggling for about 6 months or so.  Sometimes life just gets too much for me to handle, and I kinda break down...  I can't function properly, no memory, fear, want to be alone, very tired...  that kind of thing.  Thank goodness it happens very seldom, cause it knocks me right on my butt.  This time I even had panic attacks and those were not fun.

Do you know Jackie?  She is a real sweetheart and has lots of info and support for depression.

I am still pretty fragile and don't want to let you down.  I am just getting stronger now, and any stress makes me falter.  I would love to be there for you.  However, I don't think I have it in me at this time.

I will help out here on the Maintenance Board as much as I can.  Ok?

More hugs,

Cindy
