This is all so awesome Diane!  Please post your monthly grocery bill....  It must be very tiny...itty bitty.  I'm sure you are already noticing it when you go to the store.  You probably use to pick up all kinds of stuff for him that you don't anymore.

How wonderful for you and your other sleeve family members.  All of you getting healthy together must be some kind of wonderful.

I can see it now...a beautiful stuffed Cornish game hen for the whole family to enjoy, weighing in at a whopping 10 ounces!!!   Like a tiny turkey!

Actually, that is what I did this year for Thanksgiving, my "turkey" was a tiny stuffed Cornish game hen.  I stuffed it with brown and wild rice, nuts and dried fruit.  It was soooo good!!!

Congrats again Diane, and please tell us the difference in that grocery bill!!!

hmmmm, would have to do some figuring to get the grocery bill difference. Just came back from the store and spent about $50 and another $75 at costco but got protein drinks, stuff to feed guests in a couple of days and various odd things. hubby used to go out and buy all these chips and junk because i refused to buy it so i have no clue what all that cost. oh well, i will pondor this.   Diane

Chips are between 4-5 bucks a bag here.  If he ate 2 bags of chips per week that would be a savings of  around $40 a month alone!!!  How cool is that?  He can buy new clothes with the extra savings!  Congrats

YAY, that is a great update on how he is doing. Definitely keep reminding him about the fluid, so important. I never hated the protein shakes and still drink them occassionally. But I know a LOT of people who were not fond of them.

I so *wish* my brother would look into the sleeve. He has seen hubby and I both be sleeved and I'm guessing his weight to be around 300-325...but he hasn't asked any questions. :( Sigh...

has he tried Syntrax Nectars?  much better than the "shake" drinks IMO.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Is the Fuzzy Navel flavor a Nectar one? Thats one he liked initially but now not so much. He likes Chike bananna magic. we got some other kind of vanilla that he hates. likes premier vanilla still. transitioning to mushies now.   Diane
