Hi, Lucy,

I remember you! Not much to contribute, other than welcome back..I agree with what the others have said--what you are going through is common and we all support each other wherever we are in this lifelong journey. Good to see you!

Hi Lucy!  I remember you too.  You must realize by now that this is a lifelong struggle (at least it has been for me) and that the enemy is complacency.  You have to be diligent and work hard to get what you want - in work, a marriage, life, etc.  I'm currently 0.5 pounds from goal and continue to work my plan to get what I want.  I refuse to "eat like a normal person" until I get there.  If you are not happy where you are, you know what you must do.  Just bite the bullet and go for it.  I think rededicating yourself to a gym schedule will definitely help, but your food plan is just as important.  Go back to logging your food and I think you may find that you are doing some things that you may not have done in your "losing" phase.  Readjust and don't let "this is it" mentality into your thoughts if this is not where you want to be.  Welcome back to the board and thanks for sharing.  This is a great place to find the support we need to keep doing what we know we should do.  {{{Hugs}}}

I eat a mixture banana and peanut butter. this gets me much needed potassium, and protein and calories. I also eat some of the treat sized candy bars once a day. I never used to be a
 Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive and helpful!  I plan to check in here often.  We're very lucky to have a beautiful Y in our town.  My daughter (who I've written about here - gained SO much weight as I was losing :() has been seeing a personal trainer there and I will too.  I've read so much about how the right trainer can Rx the best activities for our particular post-op bodies.  I'll positively let you know how it goes.

Love you all ... Lucy

I hear ya sleeve sister.  I feel fat too.  I want to get the last 20 pounds off as well, but just can't seem to buckle down.  I know the key is exercise and have been struggling to stick to various work out plans.

Just yesterday, I looked at my before pictures so that I could remember that I've accomplished a lot, just like you have, even though I am not exactly where I want to be.

How has your life improved since you have lost the majority of your weight?

I have a lot of improvements.  One of my biggest improvements which happened just recently is the fact that I no longer have sleep apnea and do not have to where a CPAP at night anymore.  I had a sleep study a few weeks ago and just got the results back last week.  It's a miracle.  I'm freeeeeee.

So, what has been your biggest improvement?

How much sleeve capacity do you have now?  I did the cottage cheese test and can eat one cup of it.  I'm still at 3.5 ounces of dense protein though.  Of course, I can eat pot loads of slider foods...............

How is your stomach acid?  Are you still taking a PPI?  I take nexium, and just last week was started on 2 Zantacs a day, for both stomach acid and allergies.  Zantac is a Histamine 2 blocker and has gotten my airborne wheat allergy under control.  I can't eat wheat, but at least I'm not breaking out in hives anymore when I'm around it.

It's so good to see you again Lucy.  Please stick around!
 Trish - thanks so much for asking what's improved most!  Please don't limit me to one thing.   I'm vain - I have to say CLOTHES and overall looks and feeling, if not thin, "typical!"  I refuse to buy anything with an X in the size!  Even though an XL might make sense sometimes, I just can't go there - it's too symbolic for me.  SO having no "Xs" is an improvement.

The more important one, though, is my health and overall freedom of movement.  I'm off all meds except for psych meds for depression - it runs like water through my family, so I accept them and as a therapist, understand how they're an integrative part of feeling/being good.

Sometimes I accept that this might be it until I get plastics ... I have lots of flab!  I wonder if it can weigh 20 lbs?!
