I LOVE THIS STORY!!!!

Back when I was pre-op and scared with so many questions, I had a perfect stranger (found her through her blog, we happen to also share a surgeon and live in the same metro area) offer to meet me for lunch and let me ask any question I could think of. She was an angel to me and we are still friends today. Paying it forward is the best NSV I can think of. I have already informally mentored 4 people into the sleeve and am planning on signing up for my surgeon's new mentoring program.

Such a GREAT post!
-8lbs lost during the 6 month insurance hoop jumping,
the rest is since surgery.

Thanks for showing WLS is not about what the scale says about us but what our lives say to others. You continue to be my hero and to inspire me. Good work!!

What a wonderful story!

I now have 2 people here in my small town (pop 1500) who have had VSG because of my success and are on the road to success.  The first one had her surgery 10/18 and the other one had hers Monday.  I'm going to have fun watching them transform into new people, just as they watched me.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.
