Consult Weight - 357 Lbs

Surgery Weight - 309 Lbs
Total Amount Lost - 158 Lbs
Goal Range - 200 - 205 Lbs
Yesterday's Weight - 197.5 Lbs
Today's Weight - 199.2 Lbs
Gain/Loss -  +1.7 Lbs

Good morning Everyone!!! Time to pony up to the scale

Random Thoughts:
- With dropping below 200 lbs. I haven't been happy with the way I look lately. I saw a picture from the OH conference last week. Someone snapped a picture of me while I was in the conference. I didn't see them doing it so I didn't pose for it. I didn't like the way I looked in the picture.

- I think I am subconsciously sabotaging myself to put on weight.

- I haven't changed the way I have been eating yet the pounds are coming back on.

- I'm not upset about gaining the weight...just surprised. Putting on five pounds within a week would normally **** me off. Yet I'm OK with it.

 174

Mike- Thank you for sharing your random thought.  I have been struggling with this myself.  Even though I am still overweight at 174 I'm just not digging the way I look anymore.  I know that within the past month I have gone way off plan hoping to gain a couple of pounds but it's just not happening and I admit I'm starting to get a little depressed about it.  When I was 296 I dreamed of being 175 because I thought I would look so much better.  Well now that I'm here I'm just not liking it....I didn't realize at this weight that I would have bones sticking out and my face and neck would be so thin.  I feel guilty for feeling this way because there are much worse problems that I could have but right now this is my big problem.  Hopefully my brain just needs more time to catch up because it's still so new but I need my brain to hurry up and get on board.

119. ate no candy last night with 270 visitors. but had a couple glasses of wine. big splurge.

Mikey Mike do you track your food? Bet you are having normal fluctuations with water salt and such. Sometimes I think our bodies "fool around" in finding the right place and this process may go on for a year or two in maintenance phase. Sometimes when a pound or two comes back we get all upset; not because we mind that pound but because we feel out of control because we can't figure out what we did to cause it. (this is how I feel when I go up). We all have to remember that we are complex oranisms and lots goes into that up or down pound besides whether we ate a fun size candy bar or a handful of almonds. Bet that five pounds moves around for you.    Diane

Thanks Diane,

After further contemplation I can see where the extra pounds came from. I did substitute my normal protein enriched breakfast with a Blueberry Muffin the day before. I also had a small pretzel that had salt on it. It normally takes a couple of days for my weight to show on the scale.

But gaining the weight wasn't a big deal it was reevaluating the way that I look. After thinking about it some more yesterday. I've come to the conclusion that I need to start building more muscle or get plastics.

I think building the muscle may be more practical at this point. I've been trying to motivate myself to go back to the gym. This gives me the incentive to do it; the changing of the weather is also a contributing factor. As I probably won't be able to do as much walking as I did as it may be too cold.

Citrus martini and a tiny pumpkin dessert were my treats. Did not expect to see it so quickly on the scale. Though, I'm okay with it.

124 again today. Had a couple of the tiny Heath bars, and some
bubble gum. ( Bubble gum is my biggest weakness when it comes to
sweets.)

Wishing you all the best, Carol
